Incurable Tumor (2015)

Layered among bulbous, organic, and piercing bursts, canvases were stacked from floor to the ceiling as the medium was stretched, pulled, twisted, and reassembled. The artist took classical inspiration from the Aeneid, in which Laocoon’s two sons are strangled by serpents: parua duorum corpora natorum serpens amplexus uterque implicat.
